LEADERSHIP LUNCH & LEARN
The Lunch and Learn program in Peoria Unified is a site-based mentoring program for community members to be a positive role in a students life. The purpose of this program is to provide elementary schools students with a mentor who encourages a positive view of education, personal growth, and a positive role model.
We are looking for 15 Peoria Chamber Members
You will meet with the student for ONE lunch per month
1-2 Hours per month
This will start next school year - August 2020 - May 2021

IN LOVING MEMORY - CHARLES (CHUCK) STRANGE
It is with our deepest sympathy to inform you of the passing of a long time and valued Peoria Chamber Member, Charles (Chuck) Strange. Please take a moment to read the following message from his family.
IN LOVING MEMORY
Charles (Chuck) Strange passed on to his next adventure 02-13-2020 in the arms of"the love of his life" of 25 years Rosie. Chuck was an active member of the Peoria Chamber for 15+ years. He served on the Board of Directors and wore many hats for the Chamber. He recently received the lifetime Achievement award from the Surprise Chamber for his service. Chuck also served many organizations and charities , he was very proud to be on the committee of the Rio Veterans Memorial Wall. Chuck served his country proudly for 21 years in the United States Army, was active in the Military Affairs Committee and loved to volunteer at Luke Air Force Base.
He will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor. Details below.

The Maverick’s Shindig “Million Dollar Masquerade!”
This is the West Valley Mavericks Foundation's yearly Fly-Away party, complete with live music by 34 North, dancing, casino-style gaming, live and silent auction as well as bar and food provided by West Valley restaurant sponsors. The event will feature a fly-away option for VIP guests, with a chance to win an all-expense paid weekend in Las Vegas at the MGM Grande, complete with a TopGolf experience. The plane leaves directly from the party, which is held in an airplane hangar at the Goodyear airport!
This event will feature Homeless Youth Connection as its spotlight charity, with all proceeds from the event going to this and other West Valley charities that we sponsor.
