Benevilla is a non-profit agency enriching the lives of West Valley residents by serving older adults, adults with disabilities, children and the families who care for them.

Among the numerous support services and programs Benevilla provides are:

4 Life Enrichment Day Programs for older adults with Alzheimer’s and dementia, survivors of stroke, Parkinson’s disease and fall related injuries in Surprise, Sun City and Peoria.  Benevilla provides a continuum of care promoting independence, dignity and self-empowerment. We recognize caring for the needs of senior adults reaches beyond the individual to the entire family.

2 Life Enrichment Day Programs serving adults with disabilities in Sun City and Peoria.  Entertainment, education, games, crafts, gardening, community outings, and exercise fill the daily agenda. Members help direct their daily activities, including meal preparation.
A safe, family friendly learning environment at Wirtzie's Preschool, Child Care and Nursery in Surprise including our unique Intergenerational Program.

Free Home Services for home-bound seniors supported by volunteers who run errands, provide grocery shopping, assisted transportation services to medical appointments, basic handyman services, business assistance and friendly visitor and phone check-ins. All services are provided by our volunteer team who are truly “neighbors helping neighbors.”

Free C.A.R.E.S. (Community Assistance, Resources, Education & Support) resource program provides help with concerns of caregiving or related needs impacting your life or a family member’s life. Our Resource Specialists are available by phone or in person. Our specialists can connect you with the right Benevilla program or service or a vetted partner organization that can assist you.

Numerous free educational workshops and events.
Family Resource Center dedicated to supporting parents and their children (0-5 years).
Birt’s Bistro is a social enterprise restaurant on the Benevilla main campus supporting the work that Benevilla does in our community. We welcome our community to explore the many volunteer service opportunities available.

New Member Spotlight - Affinity Bio Solutions

Affinity Bio Solutions AZ, LLC is a veteran owned, BBB accredited, IICRC certified firm, with over 10 years’ experience in the crime scene cleaning industry.  Affinity Bio Solutions approaches every situation with the client in mind. Many team members and owners have worked in the trauma and crime scene, hoarding, and remediation industry on a full-time basis for several years.

Glenn Harper has worked in the trauma scene cleaning industry since 2009 after honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. He has an educational background in counseling and psychology, which he has found useful when attempting to help clients who may be grieving, or those with issues related to hoarding disorder.

Brook Evans holds a current real estate license, experience in the insurance industry, restoration industry, and has an educational background in economics. His experience and education have been helpful in working with clients affected by hoarding disorder who may be looking to sell their home, and family members left with a home after a death has occurred.

Some of the core problems for families appear to be associated with financial resources after a death in the family or when a person living in a hoarded/cluttered environment wishes to simply start over in another environment. Affinity Bio Solutions can work with insurance companies to help reduce or eliminate deductibles, or provide options to clients who may not be able to afford to restore the home before intending to sell.

Top Ten Tips for Peoria Businesses - Maricopa SBDC

Top ten tips for Peoria businesses

While the processes and requirements for various loans will constantly be changing, here are some things that won't change.

1. Have your financial records in order before you do anything.

At the very least, have your Profit and Loss Statement for 2019, a Balance Sheet dated Dec 31, 2019, recent tax returns, and a clear rundown of all your recurring monthly expenses such as rent and payroll. Expenses that do not fluctuate with revenue (ie fixed costs or overhead) are key to deciding how much funding you will receive.

2. Do not attempt to fill in documents online.

Download the first, fill them out, and then upload the entire document at once at on online site. This will eliminate errors caused by timeouts and typos. Some of the sites are now requiring this anyway as a way to control web traffic and allow more users.

3. Do not attempt to use online application sites during regular business hours.

Accessing them late at night or on weekends will likely make the process more smooth as user volume is reduced.
