Menke Funeral and Cremation Center
provides unique, personalized services in Sun City and the surrounding communities.

Led by General Manager Kelly Browder, the team is always working hard on the family’s behalf. Robert Zimmerman- Director, Duane Pascoff-Director, Peder Strand- Director, Mariah Moreno- Administration and Kathy Stand-Administration round out the Menke staff.

Along with exceptional funeral services the staff strives to continuously support families and create truly special and fitting tributes. Creating Tukios videos made from priceless photos along with including prized personal items brought in are strategically placed for services all encouraging families and friends to share stories and remember their loved one.
Another unique and special touch is the recently implemented “Hugs from Home”. The program allows people who cannot physically attend services to virtually “hug” and support the bereaved with special messages and balloons that are presented at the service.
In staying true to helping families with the most difficult occasions, Menke offers funeral pre-arrangement and pre-funding counseling to avoid additional planning, emotional and financial stress at the time of a death.

Originally the United States Post Office, Menke Funeral and Cremation Center was established in October of 1977 in Sun City, Arizona and was the only funeral home at the time. The staff provides a variety of compassionate services including both traditional burial and cremation. With newly remodeled facilities and reception room the funeral home staff continues its strong commitment to serve Sun City residents and the surrounding communities.

Helping Arizona Organ Transplant Candidates, Donors and Recipients

I’d like to take a moment of your time to share some information on our organization, B for Life and to ask for your kind assistance. B for Life is an organization composed of transplant recipients, donor family members, and living donors, 501{c}{3} since 2014. Our members are comprised of candidates, recipients and donors who have experience in the process of transplantation.

Our Mission is simple:

Temporary Suspensions of Peoria City Sign Code Sections

Peoria Businesses:

There has been a temporary suspension on Peoria City sign code.

Resolution 2020-43 temporarily suspends the enforcement of portions of Section 21-836 of the Peoria City Code and terminates the temporary suspension upon termination of the State of Local Emergency.

The purpose of this Resolution was to acknowledge that many Peoria business needs include reaching their customers through special messaging during COVID-19. There was a proposal to suspend some sections of the Sign Code pertaining to Temporary Signage, which passed through a unanimous vote.

With this Resolution, all businesses now have access to temporary signage during the extent of the emergency declaration, while still complying with dimensional standards, such as size/area and placement restrictions.

Please see Section 21-836 for standards.
