About Ottawa County Safety Council
The Ottawa County Safety Council promotes safety awareness in the business and industrial community. Luncheon meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month and include a guest speaker. Ottawa County Safety Council has received honorable mention from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation for meeting the criteria for effective safety councils.
Meeting Schedule Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month, usually during lunchtime. The location is usually held at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. Please check our events calendar or Facebook page for location information.
A program about safety is presented at each meeting, followed by a short business meeting. At some meetings, a guest company may be given time for a Company Spotlight to educate members about a new product or service that they provide for the safety industry. Time is provided before and after the program to network with other safety representatives.
A typical meeting schedule is as follows:
11:15 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. Registration/Networking/Lunch
11:30 A.M. - 12:15 P.M. Speaker
12:15 P.M. - 12:30 P.M. Business Meeting
Lunch is included in the cost of membership; if a member brings a guest who is not a member, the guest must pay for their lunch.
