January Board Meeting Highlights 1/17/19
Secretary's & Treasurers Report approved as read.
Presidents Report - There will be ongoing training for all of our Board Members. Training will consist of marketing our Chamber, navigating through Chamber Nation, policy and procedure updates, event involvement, budgeting and so on.
Finance Committee Report - The finance committee reviewed the treasurers report and discussed current membership dues, outstanding dues and notices. A blanket letter will be devised and emailed to all members.
Events Committee - Event opportunities were presented and approved. Our new Chamber website will be the hub of community activities. Chamber members may submit a request for an event to be included on the Chamber Calendar. A request for a Community Event to be posted to our Calendar, Facebook and LinkedIn are also encouraged.
The Board of Directors approved our involvement with Lino Lakes Elementary School and we are planning a new Community event. The Chamber will also have involvement with the Lino Lakes Cinco de Mayo celebration, Family Corn Roast and Blue Heron Days, the Centerville Fete des Lacs celebration and the Lexington Fall Festival.
Ambassador Committee - We are always looking to add members to the Ambassador Team. The larger the presence at a Ribbon Cutting, Open House or Grand Re-Opening the better. The Chamber is an advocate of our four communities and involvement is key to the Chamber's, local businesses and our communities success. Please strive to attend our New Member events and always invite others to come to a meeting, attend an event and join the Chamber.
Marketing Committee - Learning to utilize the Chamber Nation Platform to its fullest and navigating the many features is a full time job. Our marketing committee works hard and puts in many long volunteer hours to serve the Chamber, our members and our Community. Our marketing committee works closely with our Strategic Planning Committee, Ambassador/Membership Committee, Finance Committee and Board of Directors to maintain, update, and create policies and procedures, marketing materials and social media accounts.
A special Thank You to Dorothy Radermacher, Beth Pica, Kelly Putnam and Kelly Barton for their volunteer time and expertise.
There are many more Thank You's yet to come. I am honored to be President of the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce and I am blessed to be supported by such amazing individuals.
I look forward to meeting you at our upcoming events.
