About Us

Nestled in the mountains of northeast California, East Quincy Services District provides water and sewer services to the east side of Quincy, CA. Governed by a 5 member Board of Directors East Quincy Services District prides itself on providing quality water and sewer service to a population of approximately 2500 people.

On February 16, 1959, a mass meeting of the citizens of East Quincy was called by Ray Berkline, Jack Boyd, Bill Slaten and others interested in the formation of a district for securing water, sewer and street lighting for the community of East Quincy. Six years later water started flowing through the pipes to the residents of East Quincy. Starting with just 2 wells and one 800,000 gallon tank and 84 street lights the district has expanded over the years to now include 6 wells, 2 tanks (including the original tank) and a sewer collection system that was installed in the mid-1990's at the request of the state of California. Responsibility for the approximate 150 street lights was relinquished to Plumas County in the mid-2000's.

Our pure, sweet, deep well water is not treated in any way. That's right! No chemicals or additives of any kind!

So get yourself a glass and enjoy it while you browse our site. We're glad you stopped by!
