We are sad to say we've been informed that the Boy Scouts will not be selling Christmas trees in Quincy this year.

The good news is, Plumas National Forest is selling their Christmas tree cutting permits online.  Visit their website at https://www.recreation.gov/tree-permits/27724292-ebd0-11ea-b83f-6e0e43d29f74 to purchase.  The price is $10 per tree and the permit is valid from November 1st through December 31st.

The Big One-Oh! is a triumphant musical for the whole family based on the book written by Academy Award-winner Dean Pitchford. The new kid at school, Charley Maplewood, has never been one for parties – that would require friends, which he doesn’t have. Well, unless you count his monster friends, but they’re only imaginary. But now that he’s turning ten—the big one-oh—he decides to throw a birthday party for himself, complete with a “House of Horrors” theme. Of course, things don’t work out as he plans. Will Charley be able to pull it together before the big one-oh . . . becomes the big OH-NO!?

This is a virtual event, open for viewing anytime between November 19th at 5pm, and November 21st at midnight.
