Christmas Lights Display

John Steffanic

Many fairgrounds have Christmas displays, but I can't think of another that features all hand painted scenes! The spirit, pride, anticipation, excitement and joy for this project is overwhelming! I was probably a little over-ambitious thinking we would open the day after Thanksgiving. All the people are just putting in unbelievable hours, so they really should enjoy their Thanksgiving and we will open this Christmas treat on Friday, December 4 at 6pm. This drive thru display of lights and festive scenes will be open to the public every Friday and Saturday night from 6pm to 8pm, every weekend in December leading up to Christmas.

Quintopia Announces New Hours

37 Miles of New Trail Approved on Mt. Hough! Help Us Build It!

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship

The Mount Hough Ranger District, Plumas National Forest recently approved 37 new miles of “shovel ready” trail in Quincy! This was a three-year process, and it's a significant milestone for SBTS, Plumas Forest and the community of Quincy. Shovel ready means NEPA/CEQA is complete and it's ready to build. Now the heavy lifting begins: finding the funds to build it. Through your financial support, SBTS will be able to create much-anticipated projects like 37 new miles of singletrack in addition to the 35 miles already built on Mount Hough in Quincy, expanding the trail system with more trail connectivity and a singletrack connection down to Taylorsville. If you are planning to give this Giving Tuesday, consider giving to SBTS and help us create more #dirtmagic together.

Jeffrey's Pub & Grub Update

Anna Jeffrey

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our customers!! All of us at Jeffreys hope you have a safe and fun holiday. We are truly thankful for all of you that have helped to keep us afloat this crazy and unusual year.

I wanted to give a quick update on changes that we are about to do to keep everyone in the loop as much as possible. We have been struggling with the 25% capacity. Also, the constant waiting every week for information on whether we will be shut down or not, has kept everyone on edge and stressed. So we have decided on a new course that will hopefully keep what is left of my staff in place for the winter and hopefully also allow us to come up with a schedule that will not have to change every week as we wait on news of where our county is at in the tier system. Starting this Sunday, we will be serving 7 days a week again. However, we will no longer be open for sit down service and are now going to do take out and delivery.

Our hours will be from 11:30 am- 7:00 pm daily. Deliveries will be free for seniors and businesses. There will be a $5.00 charge for all others. Deliveries will be for Quincy only, we will not be running throughout the area outside Quincy.

We have a bunch of beer, wine and cocktails available and we are able to sell those to go as well, so do not forget to order your favorite drink when you put in your orders. Throughout the winter we will have different specials on fun holiday cocktails.

We are looking to add breakfast on weekends starting in January. So if you have missed our gravy and our burritos, watch for that to be added back soon.

Starting the middle of next week, on December 3rd, we will also be offering family meals that can be picked up or delivered. We will announce the specials of the week at the beginning of the week and they will run all week. Orders will need to be in before 2:00pm for delivery that day. Watch our posts for more on these.

We will be offering whole pies as of next week as well. There will be a full list available in the restaurant at the beginning of the week, but a quick list would include: apples, peach, apricot, pecan, pumpkin and more. The list will also include the prices on these pies. Pies will need to be ordered the day before you want to pick them up (or earlier).

We will be closed for the following days:
For Thanksgiving- Nov 25th through November 28th
For Christmas- Dec 24th and 25th
For New Years- Dec 31st and Jan 1st

We are all really excited about these changes and hope they are what the community will embrace as well.
