Ski Team Does Well in First Event of 2021

We just had our first athletic competition in almost a year this past week! Here is a big shout out to Coach Darcy Page and the Ski Team!!

Sabina Winter finished 8th, David Leonhardt finished 19th and Emma Leff finished 22nd in a field of nearly 50 racers.

Virtual Open House & Workshop

Plumas National Forest


Quincy, CA - The Plumas National Forest will soon be submitting applications for Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Cooperative Funds for the upcoming 2020/2021 grant cycle. The Forest is developing preliminary applications to the CA Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division which include maintaining and repairing roads and trails and law enforcement across the Forest.

As ideas from the public are important for developing proposals, the Forest will be hosting a Virtual Open House on February 22nd from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM to discuss the proposed
preliminary grant applications, with a virtual workshop to follow with any interested stakeholders from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The workshop will be held virtually using Microsoft Teams. The public may join the sessions via a computer, mobile app or call in using the information listed on their website here.

MINDFUL CO-PARENTING

The 7-week Mindful Co-Parenting class is designed to provide concrete support to parents who have separated, yet are parenting their children together.

The course identifies the effects of broken relationships on both adults and children and the importance of developing a workable written Co-Parenting Plan that addresses the required components of time sharing, child exchanges, and communication.

The private, two hour live video classes offer multimedia presentations, worksheets and resources, and open discussions to provide support, encouragement and guidance in navigating the development of a successful co-parenting relationship. The topics include:

  • Foundational Agreements
  • Personality & Emotions
  • From a Child’s Perspective
  • Relationship Building
  • Timesharing
  • Developing a Co-Parenting Plan
  • Focusing Forward

In addition to the above topics, private coaching sessions can address stress management, guidance with
personal parenting challenges, and individualized support.
