About Us
The Grapevine-Independent newspaper was previously known as the Rancho Cordova Grapevine. Today it serves as the main news source for the Rancho Cordova area, located in California just outside of Sacramento. The newspaper has been publishing weekly editions since it creation in 1968.
After 11 successful years of publishing, the Grapevine Independent was purchased by staff writer Doug Hawkes. A short time later, Hawkes sold the newspaper to Robert Ling in 1989. The current owner of the newspaper is Herburger Publications of Galt, California.
The Grapevine Independent also offers an online edition of its paper so readers now have the choice to read the print or online version.
