About Strad Meadery
Strad Meadery was founded in 2011 to replicate a beverage the ancients called "Nectar of the Gods". They used honey to facilitate the fermentation process. We know it today as Mead.
We also use honey to reproduce this wonderful beverage. It contains half the alcohol of wine. Its fresh crisp flavors are light without filling, quenching our thirst and lifting our spirits.
The logo is comprised of a stylized violin (A Stradivarius made by Antonius Stradivari in the 17th century) floating over a honeycomb with bees flying across the image. The violin is in honor of my grandfather who made and played this beloved instrument for most of his 96 years of life.
