Farmers Market

Indoor, Holiday Farmers Markets: In November and December the San Juan Island Farmers Market is held the 1st and 3rd Saturday from 9:30am to 1:00pm at Brickworks, on 150 Nichols Street. Holiday Artisan Craft Fair

This weekend, November 16 and 17,  shop locally for the holidays at the Mullis Center’s annual Holiday Artisan Craft Fair.   We’ll have a full house of local artists and crafters as well as some amazing food to eat in or take out.  You’ll be able to find something unique and special for just about everyone on your list. Additionally, the senior class will be selling evergreen wreaths and taking orders for pumpkin pies. Class on CPR, Automated External Defibrillators and first aid

A Place to Play

A Place to Play and Volk are offering a free, two-hour family and friends CPR, AED and first aid class at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14. A Place to Play is located at 55 Spring St. The new owner Kayla Roe took over in April of this year after Cathy Kromer posted the business for sale to retire after opening A Place to Play in 2014.

Successful Friday Harbor Film Festival

Amy Hardy producer of the Bleeding Edgewas thrilled to win the Audience Choice Awards for the best film of the 2018 Friday Harbor Film Festival.  Her memorable quote when accepting the award was to the filmmakers themselves when she told them the 10 films she had watched “fed her soul and please give us more”. The winners of the categories were:
