Arrowhead Bank, proudly serving the Texas Hill Country since 1923. Originally established as Moore State Bank, our journey began over a century ago. In 1963, A.W. Moursund III, a lifelong Hill Country resident, attorney, and judge, acquired controlling interest, guiding our growth and commitment to the community. At that time, our bank held deposits nearing $4,000,000 and had capital, surplus, and undivided profits of approximately $660,000.
Over the decades, we have evolved and expanded. Moore State Bank became First Llano Bank, and in 1992, after acquiring a branch in San Saba, we adopted the name Arrowhead Bank. Our growth continued with the opening of a branch in Horseshoe Bay in 1996 and our newest branch in Fredericksburg in early 2001. Today, Arrowhead Bank boasts deposits of approximately $161,000,000 and capital, surplus, and undivided profits of $25,000,000.
Judge Moursund instilled a philosophy that remains core to our operations: the importance of friendly, helpful, and cooperative employees who build personal relationships with our customers. This belief has guided our service model, ensuring that our customers always receive personalized care.
