About Us
Welcome to Eugenio LLC - Silver plated ornaments depicting famous buildings
Eugenio offers silver plated Christmas ornaments depicting historic buildings, monuments and interesting sites. The ornaments are stamped in heavy brass then plated, first with nickel and then with silver. After plating they receive a coating so that they won't tarnish or change color.
Our line of silver plated ornaments include:
Silver Plated Mount Vernon Ornament
George Washington’s estate on the Potomac. Originally comprising 8000 acres divided into several farms run by overseers, Mount Vernon was originally known as the 'Mansion House.' The estate is now lovingly preserved and cared for by the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association. Unlike most ornaments on this site the Mount Vernon ornament is not for sale at the estate gift shop. It can only be obtained here. The high relief is pressed in heavy brass and silver plated. It has an antique coating that prevents tarnish or color change. The ornament is 3 1/8th inches wide and 2 1/4th inches tall. It weighs 0.9 ounces. It comes in an embossed silver gift box and has a red ribbon to hang it.
Silver Plated Montpelier Ornament
James Madison our 4th president was the father of our constitution. Montpelier, his home, built by his father in 1760 is near Orange, Virginia. James Madison inherited it in 1801. Montpelier was subsequently owned and remodeled by the DuPont family early in the 20th Century. As a National Trust Historic Site it is now nearly restored to its form of around 1800. The Montpelier ornament is for sale at the estate gift shop and here. The high relief is pressed in heavy brass and silver plated. It has an antique coating that prevents tarnish or color change. Silver Plated Monticello Ornament
Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello was started in 1769 and was completed some 15 years later in 1784. Two years later it was enlarged and porticoes were added. It is one of four of Jefferson’s architectural masterpieces and the first in the Eugenio 'Thomas Jefferson Architect' series. It is available at the Monticello gift shop and on this site. The high relief is pressed in heavy brass and silver plated. It has an antique coating that prevents tarnish or color change. The ornament is 3 1/8th inches wide and 2 1/4th inches tall. It weighs 0.9 ounces. It comes in special Architect series gift box with Jefferson’s signature and has a red ribbon to hang it.
Virginia Capitol
The Virginia State Capitol building was designed by Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States. Jefferson modeled the Capitol after the Maîson Carée, an ancient Roman temple in Nîmes, France. Jefferson’s building is the middle structure of the present Capitol complex. The wings were added in the early twentieth century. The braided tobacco on the border of the ornament is a symbol of the agricultural heritage at the time the capitol was constructed. The shell represents the Tidewater. The dogwood reflects on the Piedmont. These symbols can also be found on a rug in the dining room of the governor’s mansion.
