Going Green Commitments
- The Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix/Avondale is a "Certified Green Lodging" hotel through the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association as well as being a member of “I stay green”. We participate in the City of Avondale’s business recycling program.
- Here at the Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix-Avondale, we commit to the following standards to be continued or implemented in 2010 - Going Green! In case you have not noticed, it's hip to be "green!"
- Let's walk the talk!
- Linen and Towel Reuse program in guest rooms
- Recycle trash in guest rooms including back-of-the-house recycling program for trash collected from the guest rooms
- Maintenance staff training on conservation and energy procedures, including monitoring water consumption on a monthly basis to track the progress with focus on reducing energy 5% over the next 18 months
- Recycling:
- Paper, Plastic, Glass, Cardboard, Toner(s) & Metals
- Batteries - use rechargeable batteries
- Using compact fluorescent light bulbs in guestrooms and 90% of the public areas
- Updating Green Team success in staff meetings
