At the young age of 14, owner and operator Todd Dickerson started the job that would determine his career course for the rest of his life. As a lot attendant sweeping the floors and cleaning up after the technicians, Todd grew to love the industry and over time became a technician himself. Following high school, he continued growing as a technician and worked for independent shops until landing a position as a technician for a GM dealership. Todd took advantage of the extensive training available at the GM training center located on the Weber State University campus and achieved the status of Gold Level Technician on the Cadillac service skills test, which only 10% of automotive technicians nationwide attain. He also became a Master ASE Certified technician. In 1996, Todd and his father Lee established their own repair facility in Springville. After operating for 4 years, Todd separated leaving the business to open a brand new facility with a custom shop he designed himself. As a resident of Spanish Fork his entire life, Todd wanted to give back to the community he loved and offer exceptional service to the residents. With tremendous support from his wife and family he took the plunge and started planning.
It didn’t happen overnight as there were many hurdles to overcome and financial planning to be made. As a result, Todd, his wife Amy and their two children sold everything they had and moved in with family in order to make the finances come together. Their desire to allow Amy to be a bigger part of raising their family was worth the sacrifice, blood, sweat, and tears. And, after 3 years of hard work and planning Dickerson Automotive was born. In April of 2000, Dickerson Automotive opened their doors to the public as Spanish Fork's auto repair facility.
The story continues as Dickerson Automotive’s family grows in numbers and we climb to be the top automotive repair facility in the county. We appreciate the love and support of our friends and neighbors who always encouraged us to follow our dreams.
