The day was breezy and sunny as thousands of Spanish Fork residents came out to celebrate the opening of the new North Park. Mayor Wayne Anderson, Past Mayors Dale Barney and Joe Thomas helped cut the Ribbon at the new Pavilion. City Officals and workers cheered as the park opened to the public with free giveaways, free food, drinks, and fun events for the kids. The new splash pad area was the central attraction, pony rides, train rides, frisbee toss, princess castle and real live Princesses in beautiful gowns made the day a event to remember. Local businesses donated time, money, services, and products to help the City make this a great special event. Thanks to Chamber Businesses who donated so generously, Macey's, Mountain America Credit Union Triple T Heating and Cooling, Jay Crowther All State Insurance, Robarge Collision, Shepherd's Carpets and Furniture, Big O Tires, Tim Shanto American Family Insurance, Best Deal Mattress, Furniture and Cabinets, Healing Points Acupuncture, Elevate Mind & Body, Susan's Hair Designs, Cary's Designs Floral, Confetti Antiques & Books, and everyone who helped in anyway. Spanish Fork City Facebook page has pictures of the Event. Also this was posted on their facebook..." The North Park Grand Opening was a huge success. 1,000's of people came out to experience the new park. The park will be open just like other parks, until 11:00 pm, which is the curfew for all parks. The splash pad is on a timer system and it will automatically turn on at 10 am and turn off at 10:30 pm, every day. ...It is anticipated that the splash pad will be operational thru September."
