The mission of the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is to promote the growth and recognition of local businesses.  This past month I have seen that happening regularly.  Have you checked out the chambers website lately?  It’s amazing!  We are working on more regular Facebook posts as well.  It’s definitely a great time to be a member of OUR chamber of commerce.  Take advantage of networking at our luncheons and supporting other businesses in their success.  Through your efforts you will see your relationships grow.  Since I joined the chamber I have developed relationships that will last a lifetime.  It’s a bonus if that turns into a business relationship!

Executive Director Message

Clark H. Caras

Growing up in Spanish Fork the words "Fiesta Days" were magic to me because it was like Christmas in July! And with Grandpa and Grandma Harrison living a half block off Main Street on 5th North it was like being right in the middle of it all.
Overnight American flags began fluttering up and down the boulevard and even as a kid you knew that red, white and blue signaled something important and special. And especially when that brand new Memorial Building was home to men who could talk about Iwo Jima, D-Day and a reverent place called Pearl Harbor. And to be blessed with that famous Canyon Wind that every morning brought those pieces of cloth to attention and made them snap to remind you they were there!

Millennial Choirs and Orchestra Concert -- To Be American

Spanish Fork Fiesta Days 2015 is proud to present the Utah Valley Millennial Choir and Orchestra in a powerful and poignant celebration of God and Country, "To Be American." The concert will take place on Friday, July 17 at 8:30 p.m. in the picturesque Americana setting of Spanish Fork City's Fairgrounds Arena.

To Be American, a choral fantasy composed and arranged by MCO founder, Brett Stewart, was premiered in April and May of 2014. Conductors, Brett and Brandon Stewart, Cory Mendenhall, and Cherilyn Worthen had the opportunity of collaborating with radio talk show host, Glenn Beck, in a series of nine concerts in four states with Mr. Beck narrating American stories as MCO performed Stewart's original compositions and arrangements.

Utah Valley Millennial Choirs and Orchestra (UVMCO) has invited other MCO participants from Arizona, California, and Texas to join UVMCO in Spanish Fork's patriotic celebration, anticipating hundreds of singers and instrumentalists in concert! This performance is sure to stir the patriot within each of us, to a desire to rebuild America with principles of doing the right for the right reason! Honored to take part in Spanish Fork City's Fiesta Days, MCO's performance of To Be American will certainly provide an unprecedented role in offering depth, meaning, spirit, and honor to this annual celebration, known to bring our community together.

July Business of the Month

Congratulations to Lance Wilson State Farm July Business of the Month!  Lance Wilson State Farm has continued the family tradition of being a Spanish Fork mainstay on historic Main Street for several decades now, both in the form of his grandparents and their Frost Top drive in and his father, Steve Wilson, and his State Farm agency where Lance is located at today with his State Fair agency, 220 North Main Street with the not hard to spot red awning and Cougar Club logo in the front window.
Lance presently serves as the vice president of the Spanish Fork Salem Chamber of Commerce and has been active on several committees within the Chamber for several years. During the recent study of the re-newel ideas for our community’s Main Street, Lance served on the committee that was meeting with property owners and those with storefronts. A graduate of Spanish Fork High School, Lance also is CERT trained and serves as an emergency volunteer in the city. Part of Lance’s Mission Statement is, “helping our policyholders to recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams.” Thank you to Macey's for the wonderful cake, and SF17 for filming!

Welcome to the Neighborhood!

Welcome to Zuwire Fitness, Spry Cafe and Inquiry Academy!

The Chamber is excited to welcome to our ranks Zuwire Fitness, Spry Cafe and Inquiry Academy Daycare.  We had a wonderful turnout, and guests were given a great tour of the newly remodeled facilty.  Spry Cafe was also offering an amazing tasting table with some of their amazing wraps and treats!  Thanks to SFCN 17 for filming and Costco for the cake!

Not Receiving Chamber Emails?

If you have not been receiving emails from the Spanish Fork-Salem Chamber of Commerce, there are a few things that you can do:
1.  Please check your spam/junk folder in your email.  We have seen that there have been quite a few people that are not receiving emails from us, and this is where they are ending up.  If you are finding that your emails are being sent to your spam/junk folders, find an email within your spam/junk folder, and you should be able to click an option to mark as "non-spam".  (This option will vary with each individual email program, but it should be something similar to this.)
2.  If you find that your emails are not going into a spam/junk folder, and are still not receiving emails, please contact the chamber office at 801.798.8352, and let us know that you are not receiving emails.  We will be happy to look at your account and figure out why you have not been receiving them.
