We had a great turn out and everyone pitched in to help with setup and cleanup, cooking and having a great time. Caitlin Lundell, daughter of Dr. Randy and Mrs. Lundell sang to us. She is an accomplished singer at the age of 13. She is competing in the Utah County Fair this year and was a winner in last years fair. The Chamber wants to thank her for taking the time to entertain us. Mike Mendenhall thanked everyone for attending and spoke to the importance of being a chamber member and that strength in numbers helps us to address many issues affecting businesses in today economy. Mike also gave a short state of the chamber address letting members know of the growth that the chamber has experienced in the past two years. We are 220 members strong and growing. Dirty Jo Punsters September Business of the MonthSeptember Business of the Month 2011 - Dirty Jo Punsters Dirty Jo Punsters Tresa and Shane Ahlin were chosen for September Business of the Month! The Ahlin's are very involved in the community and the Chamber. Shane and Tresa provide the crosswalk flags on 100 South to help keep others safe. Tresa is a member of the Main Street Alliance that along with the Chamber of Commerce has been instrumental in getting sign ordinances, sidewalk sale ordinances, and tree placement changed along our Main Street. Tresa and Shane have also donated their time at the Farmer's Market and Fiesta Days booth. Boyd wants businesses and individuals to know there is money to lend and they are offering many services to the Salem and Spanish Fork area. Come by and congratulate Boyd and his excellent staff for this honor. Miss Spanish Fork Whitney Talbert's platform for 2011 is centered on special needs children. She is planning a Queen's Kickball Tournament for these special children. The tournament will be held September 14 9am to 12pm at the Spanish Fork Sports Complex on Volunteer Drive. If you are interested in helping with this event, please contact the chamber office for more information!
Please plan to attend and help us give these special children a day to remember! Sponsors will be featured at the event and on the Chamber Website and Spanish Fork 17! The Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Shop Local Business Fair and Craft show on September 24th at 40 South Main Street Spanish Fork. Local area businesses and individuals will have booths setup to showcase their products and services for the residents of our community. This fair will run from 9am Saturday September 24 until 3pm. If you are interested in having a booth at this event, please contact the Chamber Office at office@spanishforkchamber.com

The Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Spanish Fork Farmer's Market. The market will run each Saturday through November 5, 2011. The Market is located in the parking lot of the City office building at 100 W Center Street. The Market opens at 8am with vendor setup at 7am. Volunteers are needed to man the Chamber booth. The Chamber booth will be an information center for the Market, the Chamber and any business that volunteers an hour or two at the Chamber booth.
Registration for the Spanish Fork Farmer's Market will be held through July 15th! Registraton and fee information is available at the Chamber Office or at the Market. The market this year will be open to produce only! Local farmers and backyard growers may obtain more information from the chamber website or by calling the Chamber Office at 801-798-8352. This Farmer's Market is sponsored by the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce and Spanish Fork City. Scarecrow Contest Entry Forms Available NOW!
Enter the 2011 Scarecrow Contest sponsored by the Spanish Fork/Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. Entries must be in to the Chamber Office by September 23rd. The Chamber will assign placement of the entries on Main Street.
Entries must be in place by October 5th to be eligible for voting. Contest rules and sign up sheets are available here on the website or at the Chamber Office at 40 South Main Spanish Fork. Cash Prizes will be awarded at our Main Street Trick or Treat October 29, 2011 at 2pm at Memorial Square Park 200 N Main Street Spanish Fork.
Voting will be done online or at the City Office Building at 40 South Main Spanish Fork.
