Karen Frost 2010 Chamber President

I am excited to be part of the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber again this year. For the past 3 years I have been on the board, last year I was the Vice President/President Elect. This year I will be the Chamber President and Mike Mendenhall is the Vice President/President Elect. It has been an honor to be elected by local businesses to be part of the Chamber leadership. The Chamber of Commerce is a wonderful organization that offers unique networking opportunities, resources, and benefits to its members. I feel privileged to work with the Board Members, Executive Board, and the local businesses in the Chamber.

The Chamber is near and dear to my heart. Over the past year we have put a lot of work into moving the Chamber through some rough patches and we are in a very positive position. We are now financially stable with protective policies and procedures. We have expanded our member benefits and now offer a plethora of options for businesses small and large. We have a new Director who has an extensive business experience and acumen. Her organizational skills and successful business experience are a great boon to the Chamber. Our new board consists of dedicated and experienced community and business leaders. The chamber is in great hands and we look forward to the growth and opportunities we have on the horizon. We share a common goal and vision for the Chamber of Commerce and we are committed to the success of the Chamber.

As we go forth this year we will continue to update and move the chamber forward. We have a 5 year strategic plan and we are updating our by-laws and articles of incorporation.
At our recent Board Retreat we clarified our Mission as a Chamber.

The mission of the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is to promote the growth and recognition of local businesses.

Our 5 areas of emphasis are:
Member Benefits
Networking
Financial Responsibility
Education
Partnerships
