National Venture Crew President Jennifer Lowe

At the 2010 National Annual Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Meetings in Dallas, Texas last weekend, Jennifer Lowe was installed as the 2010 - 2011 National Venturing President.
Jennifer Lowe is a native of Spanish Fork, Utah and of the Utah National Parks Council. She anxiously joined Venturing when she became eligible at fourteen. Jennifer and her older brother, Robert, were fundamental in starting a co-ed Venturing crew in their area. From those simple beginnings, Jennifer has gone on to enjoy involvement in district, council, regional and national Venturing activities.

1st Annual Taste of Spanish Fork Celebration July 17th

Please join us for the 1st Annual Taste of Spanish Fork Celebration Saturday, July 17th.  This unique event will give the citizens an opportunity to enjoy the great cuisines offered by our local restaurants at a family-friendly price point ($3.00 Max. Drinks and Sides not included) while dancing the night away at the 4th Annual Street Dance with Jersey Street Band.  This will give our local restaurant businesses a similar opportunity that the vendors in the park enjoy every year during Fiesta Days. Utah Has Ability To Create Jobs - Utah Is Among The Top U.S. States In A Number

Utah is among the top U.S. states in a number of performance categories important to spurring job creation and economic development.

A new U.S. Chamber of Commerce study, "Enterprising States," did not have Utah among the top 10 overall growth performers. But the state did make the top 10 in five categories -- support for entrepreneurship, exports, infrastructure, work force development and training, and tax and regulatory systems.

The rankings position the state to play a lead role in any U.S. recovery.

The Spanish Fork/Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is having a Chamber Open House to be held June 17 at the Spanish Fork City Office Building.  The Open House is from 3pm to 7pm.  The Open House is open to any business that would like more information on the Chamber and what the Chamber offers to its members.
