The Spanish Fork/Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 1st Annual Taste of Spanish Fork Celebration Saturday, July 17th. This unique event will give the citizens an opportunity to enjoy the great cuisines offered by our local restaurants at a family-friendly price. Dance the night away at the 4th Annual Street Dance with Jersey Street Band. This will give our local restaurant businesses a similar opportunity that the vendors in the park enjoy every year during Fiesta Days. A great way to showcase your business!
The City Park will host many activities on July 17 such as the Children's Activity Tent full of games and contests, the Obstacle Course and Slide, the Fish Rodeo, and the Dunk Tank (bring you favorite person to dunk for a nominal fee.) Family fun all day long! The fun will begin at 10:00 am and run until 10:00 pm. Bring the whole family and spend the day at the City Park! Marie Mischel, June 22, 2010, Utah Business The welcome basket provided by Utah’s private and public business organizations is filled with resources to help companies plant roots and flourish. “Whether a company is just starting-up, relocating or expanding, it is easier to do business here than in most other places,” says Jason Perry, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED). “Evidence shows that we have successfully attracted a number of great companies to relocate to Utah in the past year and a half.” The complex task of starting or growing a business can be daunting, according to Nancy Mitchell, executive director of the Salt Lake Chamber’s Women’s Business Center. “But for every challenge there are resources to help—from writing business plans and getting financing to training employees and learning how to export. There is no reason for anybody to feel overwhelmed or alone.” The Salt Lake Chamber and the Women’s Business Center, for example, have networking and roundtable events where entrepreneurs can meet with peers to share ideas. Counseling is available for just about any need. “If more businesses would take advantage of what is out there, we would see many more businesses succeed,” says Mitchell. read more...
