About Us About Us

In 1930, a group of Santa Paula ranchers and businessmen joined together to finance the purchase of land to build an airport. It had a very modest beginning, with only 7 personal hangars and one for a flight school. The airport was built on the premise of making flying affordable to all.

After WWII the Santa Paula Airport came into its own. In the late 1950s, pilots began discovering the airport, building hangars, restoring old airplanes, and flying. It is an airport that became famous for its love of vintage aircraft and affordable flight lessons.

The original cafe on the airport property named Logsdons Restaurant opened in 1990 and was in business for 25 years, it was well known for its famous peanut butter pie to pilots near and far. The cafe sat empty for a period of time, and after the airport purchased the building, Evie and Ken Kramer opened the doors to the new Flight 126 Cafe. Pilots, locals and the community celebrated, they had their cafe back once again! We look forward to seeing you soon!

We invite you to visit the Aviation Museum, our neighbor, located at 800 E Santa Maria St. #E, which is open on the 1st Sunday of each month.

In 2015 the museums first phase was complete with exhibits, artifacts, photos, and activities. They host many events, all of which are great fun! Enjoy the museum, then stop in for a bite and a beverage with us and share your stories!
