About Us

Crime Stoppers is an organization that brings police and citizens together to work hand-in-hand to solve crime. One of the purposes of Crime Stoppers is to become a deterrent in the fight against crime. And it has become successful in thousands of communities in the U.S. and around the world.

The St. Charles Crime Stoppers program is sponsored by the St. Charles Police Department. Although, we belong to the international organization, your Crime Stoppers program is locally controlled by a Board of Directors of volunteer citizens.

The success of Crime Stoppers is two-fold. First, it relies on the financial support of the community. Monies raised by Crime Stoppers go to promote the program and to pay rewards. Second, it relies on TIPS about crimes occurring in our community.

Since 1989, St. Charles Crime Stoppers has solved over 780 Crimes.
