Throw Back Tuesday

Every week, the Sylvester Local has a section in their newspaper called "Looking back through the Years". This section showcases different events that happened on certain days many years ago. Every week, we will be showcasing parts of their section in our newsletter!

100 Years Ago - July 9, 1920

"Two horses, two wagons, harnesses, and oak sacks are for sale at Nortan & Beasleys in Sylvester.

Southern Produce Company now will buy your watermelons and pay cash. The telephone number is 45, located in Albany.

Skilled shoe surgeons are at Golden's Shoe Shop. They add new life to old shows and work promptly to return them better than new.

Now playing at the Sylvia Theatre in Sylveter is "The Miracle Man." This film is filled with adventure, thrill, and inspiration. This is a show that you will never forget. Playing all day Friday!"
