100 Years Ago - July 30, 1920

"To the farmers of Worth County, Sylvester's new ginnery at the Planters Oil company announces that they are ready for the 1920-21 season and are prepared to give you the best ginning service ever!

The J.Q. Gaggstatter Jeweler and Optometrist store can now furnish you with Dinner Sets or open stack in the plain white and gold pattern china. Some feature attractive designs in complete Haviland sets.

The Worth County Board of Elections Office would like you to know what to expect in this upcoming Election and have created a link for you to see samples of the upcoming ballots.If you have any questions concerning the process or need further clarification please do not hesitate to contact the Board of Registrar's Office at 229-776-8208.  

Keep in mind it is a Primary Election and their are no Democratic Candidates in this run-off election.

New Hire Orientation

The 2020 New Hire Orientation was held on Wednesday, July 22nd at the Board of Education. The new hires for the Worth County School System spent the day training for the upcoming school year. Every year, the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce works with the Board of Education to provide gift bags filled with promotional items and information that will be helpful for the new hires to learn about businesses in the community and the community itself.
