45 Years Ago - August 14, 1975
"B&B Home Ladies' Softball team of Sylvester won the District in Albany on July 30th and 31st which sent them to the Georgia A.S.A. State Tournament in Macon on August 8, 9, & 10, where they won third place. The members of the B&B Softball team are Debbie Kilcrease, Ann Hayes, Sue Brock, Janice Butler, Martha Cross, Marsha Powell, Charlottee Marchant, Jean Kennedy, Pam McKellar, Mary Bailey, Donna Barber, Christine Kilcrease, Nancy Futch, Jo Ann Ford, Dianne Douthit, Dianne Windham, Brent Kilcrease (bat boy), and Coaches Ronnie Kilcrease and Gerald Melton.
The University of Southern Mississippi's summer graduation exercises were held August 13 in Reed Green Coliseum. Among the candidates was Karen Long Wilson Of Sylvester, graduating with a Masters of Music Education."
