SVAM's Manufacturing Careers Scholarship

SVAM is once again offering its Manufacturing Careers Scholarship to graduating high school seniors in Smyth County, Washington County, Russell County, Tazewell County, Wise County, Wythe County, Grayson County, Scott County, Carroll County, Buchanan County, and the City of Bristol. The scholarships are for students interested in pursuing a manufacturing-related career in both technical and administrative positions. Scholarship funds can be used for all types of post-secondary education. 

Interested students must apply by May 1st. Click here for guidelines, more information, and to download the application. Please help us spread the word by sharing this email within your company. 

SVAM would be happy to mail a paper application to any student who needs one. They simply need to email this request to lgmitcham@swvam.org or call/text 276-337-0520.

Assignments and homework packets will be available for pickup
at your school on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020, from 8a-12p.  
If you have any questions, please call or email your school.

Also, at the March 9, 2020, Tazewell County School Board meeting, the Board unanimously voted to move the regular April School Board meeting to Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Closed session will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the regular session will begin at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Student Center on campus of the Tazewell County Career and Technical Center.
