Altru Health Foundation is the philanthropic arm that helps make many of Altru's programs, services and technologies possible. Senior leadership is made up of medical and administrative directors who oversee the operations of Altru Health System and the implementation of it's strategic plan. Altru's Board of Directors provides leadership by defining, protecting and advancing the mission of Altru Health System. Altru's mission guides the organization in everything they do. Altru Health System is here to improve health and enrich the lives of those they serve. Altru's nursing staff share a responsibility of creating and promoting a collaborative, supportive, and safe work environment. We place our patients, families, and community in the center of all that we do by meeting and/or exceeding their expectations. A rich history rooted in the generosity of several founding physicians, a strong passion for medical services has been a part of the region for hundreds of years. Altru has proudly continued that passion since it was created July 1, 1997 when the Grand Forks Clinic and United Health Services integrated.
