Grand Forks Mayor Michael R. Brown presented his 2010 State of the City Address today, February 17, 2010 at The Alerus Center. The 30 minute speech encourages a new energy economy, a healthier community, and the transition of downtown Grand Forks to the next level. “We need to make sure that Grand Forks is the place where young professionals in the new energy and technology fields say, “Grand Forks…I’ve got to be there.” said Brown.
The Mayor talked about UND making a transition to Division One and challenged the City to join the University at the next level. The address will be rebroadcast locally on GFTV Channel 2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. through March 7th.
