About ND Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
ND Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
The North Dakota Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (ND DVR) is committed to promoting the well-being and holistic health of individuals and communities across the state. Our vision is aligned with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) goal for North Dakota to be the healthiest state in the nation.
Our mission at ND DVR is to foster positive, comprehensive outcomes by promoting economic, behavioral, and physical health. We believe in ensuring a holistic approach to individual and community well-being. This mission underscores the incredible work that is already underway across HHS today and reflects our commitment to keeping the well-being of individuals and communities at the forefront of our efforts.
To achieve our vision, we have established strategic priorities that provide specifics on how we will measure success. These priorities include supporting strong, stable, healthy families and communities, advancing access to high-quality services closer to home, optimizing disaster and epidemic response and recovery, advancing excellence in agency infrastructure and operations, delivering best-in-class customer-centered experiences, and fostering a culture of excellence where every team member has a voice, adds value, and is empowered to make a difference.
At ND DVR, we are guided by principles that inspire our decisions, fuel our passion for service, and shape our agency's culture. These principles include continuous improvement and innovation, responsible stewardship of agency funding and resources, transparent communication to facilitate trust and collaboration among stakeholders, engaged collaboration through teamwork and accountability, as well as data-centered decisions grounded in facts and metrics.
We are dedicated to upholding these guiding principles as we work towards achieving our vision for North Dakota's well-being. At ND DVR, we are committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing vocational rehabilitation services that promote independence, inclusion in society, and employment opportunities.
