MEET ONE OF OUR AMBASSADORS
Itzet Rendon,
Guild Mortgage
Mortgage Loan Officer
I'm a U of A graduate with a major in Business Administration and Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer.
For the past 15 years I have been helping families with their biggest investment, a home, in most cases with Down Payment Assistance.
Handling keys to new homebuyers and been able to be apart of such accomplishment has always been the greatest rewarding feeling.
Aside from originating, I'm also a member of different organizations such, Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals).
In addition, I have a radio program where I also educate listeners by providing valuable information in regards to all the assistance available in all Arizona.
My ultimate goal and passion is helping, assisting and motivate others to be successful!

USMCA Now That It's Official, What Is Next?
Isabel Georgelos
On January 29, 2020 President Trump signed the USMCA and though it was long in coming the improvements are a win for Arizona. Southern Arizona understands a cross-border commerce benefits everyone!
So what is next?
The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce believes it's about building relationships, communication, and collaboration. For two years there has been uncertainty and caution took the place of opportunity. It is time to move forward and explore ways to collaborate and grow our economies. Mexico accounts for the largest share of Arizona’s exported goods, buying $8.19 billion worth of products from Arizona just in 2019. This is why it is mutually beneficial for Arizona to build stronger relationships with our border cities and states.
Last year we hosted 30 businesses from Sonora, Mexico at our Hispanic Market Outlook. These were businesses looking to franchise and make connections with American owned businesses or potential investors.
We will once again be inviting Sonoran and American owned businesses to come together at our 2020 Hispanic Market Outlook for business to business (B2B) networking. There will be time to connect with businesses interested in import and export. Don't miss your opportunity to build new connections and learn what our counterparts are doing. For more information contact Isabel@tucsonhispanicchamber.org or call 520-620-0005.
Our city and Southern Arizona is well positioned for the future with USMCA, we must move towards the future.
The Tucson Hispanic Chamber is currently hosting Import/Export workshops through our Affiliates. For more information please contact Dan@tucsonhispanicchamber.org or call 520-620-0005.
THCC and its Affiliates Collaborating Internationally
Import & Export for Small Businesses Workshops
We are please to share that the second International Trade Workshop was held on January 16, 2020 with much success. This workshop was conducted as a follow-up to the International Cross Border Trade Workshop conducted in Douglas, AZ on December 12, 2019.
What? You missed it? We have great news, the next International Trade Workshop is scheduled for March 13, 2020 and will be held in Sierra Vista. For more information contact Dan@tucsonhispanicchamber.org
We appreciate the participation of our partners from both sides of the border in helping make both workshops a success!

Young Entrepreneurs Academy - CEO Round Table!
Sofia Davis The Young Entrepreneurs Academy Class of 2020 is going strong. Our students have been hard at work on their businesses. This month they met with a CEO panel to learn more about being business owners and obtain advise and insight from CEO's who started their businesses from a simple idea.
Our students have spent the last 16 weeks developing their businesses for this year's Investor Panel Event on April 2, 2020. Our students will have the opportunity to "pitch" their businesses for scholarships and earn a spot to compete nationally in New York!

Chamber Mixers
Celebrating History in Tombstone with the Southeast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Friday afternoon, 4:30pm, what would you have on your schedule - Heading home, off to happy hour, on the way to the gym? Well if you knew what was going on at the Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, you would be on the road to Tombstone, Sierra Vista, Benson, Douglas, or Bisbee.
What can you expect at these Friday night events? True Arizona hospitality with Dan Valle, International Director with THCC and emissary of the best connections and partnerships in Southern Arizona.
After recently attending the mixer and ribbon-cutting at Wyatt Earp’s Oriental Saloon & Theater in Tombstone, I recommend making the effort to travel from Tucson to these events. A full meal was provided by SVHCC in partnership with member Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. Live music, a historical re-enactment, and of course raffle prizes rounded out the night.
Business Outcomes: it was a great event to meet folks, we booked a speaking engagement with the Benson Chamber of Commerce, made connection with owner of venue, and met the lead volunteer that coordinates many of the events in Tombstone.
Consider these events as a MUST do on your business calendar.
