Ashley Regional Wins Quality Award (12/02/09)
Ashley Regional Medical Center was honored with the 2009 HealthInsight Quality Award in October. HealthInsight is the QIO for the Utah and Nevada hospitals. The quality awards are given to hospitals that demonstrate high quality health care and excellence in performance on the publicly reported quality of care measures.
Si Hutt, CEO at Ashley Regional, accepted the award at their annual banquet on October 12th. Ashley Regional is one of only eight hospitals in Utah honored with this coveted award. This places Ashley Regional in the top 25% of all hospitals nationwide in compliance with these quality measures.
“Ashley Regional has made these “core measures” a priority for several years,” stated Mark Holyoak, Chief clinical Officer at Ashley Regional. “We recognize that following the CMS guidelines will provide safer care and better patient outcomes. Our team meets on a monthly basis to review the measures and prepare action plans to improve the care of our patients.”
The HealthInsight Quality Award program was launched in September 2004 to promote transparency in health care. By using available quality data to identify high performing providers and publicizing the results, HealthInsight aims to help providers improve healthcare and help patients become more active and informed participants in that care.
“Our quality improvement collaborations with HealthInsight and with LifePoint have greatly assisted our staff with this accomplishment,” stated Si Hutt. “We are proud to be a recipient of this distinguished award.”

Ashley Regional provides 24-hour Emergency care, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Urology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Ophthalmology,Podiatry, General and Orthopedic Surgery, and Physiatry services.
Ashley Regional has a state-of-the-art radiology department which includes; digital mammography, 64-slice CT imaging, MRI, 4-D Ultrasound, bone densitometry, nuclear medicine and fully digital imaging. Lab services are offered through our COLA certified laboratory. Other services include respiratory therapy, sleep study,diabetic counseling and occupational medicine through our WorkPoint Occupational Health service.
Ashley Regional was awarded the 2009 Quality Award from Health Insight. This award places Ashley Regional in the top 25% of all hospitals in the United States for compliance with the quality standards set by Medicare.
