About Us

Mitch has been a mortician since 1991. He attended school at Mt. Hood Community College. He began working in Vernal at Thomson Vernal Mortuary in 1999. In 2000 he purchased the Mortuary and has been living and working here ever since. His exceptional people skills and abilities as a mortician and funeral directors has earned him a impeccable reputation. He is also licenced to sale insurance policies for pre-paid funeral plans. Mitch is also a husband and father of four. He is actively involved with Scouting and Church. He is an avid outdoorsman, sportsman, and all around fun loving guy.

TyAnn, who happens to be married to Mitch, is the manager. She is officially in charge of finances, however, just about everything requires her organizational and business skills. She is a licensed cosmetologist and when needed helps out in that regard. She along with Mitch and their four kids are always involved with the various seasonal sports, scouting, school, music lessons, and much more.

Nathan, his wife and their two children Abigail and Tyler moved here October of 2007. He attended school at Arapahoe Community College and graduated in August, 2006. He is involved with the embalming, cosmetics, directing of funerals and making arrangements with families who have lost a loved one. He also does a lot with getting headstones ordered and taken care of and office work which involves putting programs together, filing of paperwork, obituaries, etc... Outside of work Nathan enjoys shooting and reloading his own bullets, paintball, a good movie or a night out on the town. His daughter would tell you “He is the best daddy in the whole world”.
