The three Board members who's terms are coming up have enjoyed serving on the Board and would like to continue. TriCounty Health Department Mass Dispensing Exercise
TriCounty Health Department, the Utah Department of Health, and Uintah County First Responders will host a mass Point of Dispensing exercise at Western Park on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
In the event of a major emergency or disaster, a critical need for mass dispensing of medications or vaccinations is imperative. This exercise provides preparedness agencies across the state an opportunity to work cohesively on set objectives and test preparedness plans including dispensing sites.
Community members are needed to participate in an effort to mimic a real-world emergency. As participants complete a circuit through the dispensing site, they will receive a free gold dollar in lieu of medications. Individuals may repeatedly complete the process as many times as they would like, receiving the dollar each time. This exercise helps emergency entities ensure a healthier, better prepared and resilient community.
