If you haven't noticed, this Chamber Chat is different than the rest of the Chamber Chats that we have sent out in the past. We are making some Chamber Management changes by partnering with a group called "Chamber Nation". Our partnership with Chamber Nation is unlocking the door to an organized system of Local Commerce at a level that we have not seen before. The new software that we are utilizing will bring great benefits to our membership. We are excited about the change and will unveil more of the program as time goes by. We hope to have everything going with the new program this month. Just a couple of things that we will be able to do is Register for Events online, Provide the opportunity for each member to have a website through the Chamber, Have up to 1,000 pages of advertising space for each member in the Chamber network, Newsletters, Members may establish an online presence & have online store fronts, Cutting edge technology to benefit the members, opportunities to put Social Networking to work for Chamber Members, Online payments of membership dues, Members can generate coupons and conduct member to member business, Increased networking and business opportunities, and the list goes on!
As part of all of these changes, we will be rolling out a new and improved website that hosts the new software system where members will be able to login and explore the new opportunities for growth. Information will be displayed in the members only section of the website for members to enjoy. An advertising system will be available for members to market themselves locally as well asestablish a presence on the web. You will even be able to change your advertising from your cell phone. The new website will become the information hub for Vernal and its businesses.
We live in the 21st Century and have great technological tools available to us! As a Chamber Staff, we want to help all of our member businesses take advantage of the opportunities that modern technology brings. Change is in the air! If you love the changing of seasons like I do, then you realize that each change in the season brings new opportunities for enjoyment. Sometimes, even the change itself brings enjoyment, like the changing colors of the leaves in fall. It is spectacular and stirring to the soul! As the world changes around us, we need to be ready to seize new opportunities. If we are not moving forward as a business, we will tend to slide backwards. If you as a Chamber Member would like to move forward and let technology go to work for you, then the Chamber Staff would like to help you move forward. It will take some time and learning, but we all need to take time to "sharpen our saws" to be more productive in our work.
