HappeningsFall WACO Works was held this week at Oconee Fall Line Technical College and forty students from Washington County High School attended. This was the thirteenth WACO Works that has been held and each year we are able to introduce local students to continuing education programs and career opportunities. In the fall we focus on CDL/ Diesel, Industrial Systems, Welding and Electrical/HVAC. The students kicked off the morning with a round table breakfast with guests, had the opportunity to view OFTC classrooms and meet instructors and then based on their career interest visited the corresponding business & industry. This year students toured Washington Co. Machine Shop, Imerys, Endurance Poly and Howard Sheppard. Through partnership we are connecting the dots for their future! | |
