Relay for Life Washington County - There's No Place Like Home

I am excited to be the Event Lead for Relay for Life here in Washington County. I hope this year I have the opportunity to help this community reach our fundraising goal and maybe even surpass it! But I can only do that with all of your help!

I look forward to meeting all of you and hearing your stories but first, I'll tell you a little about mine. I have lived in Sandersville for the last four years with my husband, Blake Dominy. He is one of the biggest reasons why I am involved in Relay for Life. Blake was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia in 2012. He is now healthy and cancer free! Because of cancer research his oncologist told us that he could be CURED not just treated. I know that not every cancer patient hears those words but the hope that one day all cancer patients could hear that is why I RELAY!

Brentwood News

On October 17, 2016,  students in grades 7-12 , faculty , parents and others from the Washington County community attended a wonderful presentation:  Choices Matter.

Sponsored by the Joe Giddens Youth Mission (JGYM) and made possible to us through a generous donor, Chris Sandy shared his story of making a terrible choice as a young adult and the consequences that have followed and will follow him the rest of his life.  In addition, illusionist Jaden Maxwell entertained us all.

We hope to continue to educate all of our students concerning the importance of making wise choices and reminding them that each choice we make has a consequence.  Many thanks to the Joe Giddens Youth Mission for this wonderful outreach.
