Join us for the inaugural Terminator 5K and One-Mile walk on Saturday, April 20, 2019, in Sandersville, GA. All proceeds from this event will be donated to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Medical Center to further their research on the treatment and cure for brain cancer.

The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center conducts groundbreaking research, offers clinical trials, provides innovative treatments, and takes an aggressive approach to the care of individuals with brain tumors.  At Duke, there is HOPE!

In November 2017, I, Pam Stewart, was diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). GBM is often referred to as “The Terminator”, hence the name of the race. Since my diagnosis, I have received outstanding care from some of the best medical professionals at Duke University. Thanks to my medical team, I have remained tumor  free for fifteen months, and I feel compelled to aid in  the search for a cure for brain tumors and brain cancer.
Join us on Saturday, April 20, 2019, in Sandersville,  Georgia, to raise critical funds to support cutting edge  brain cancer research being completed at Duke University.  Help us TERMINATE brain cancer!

The run/walk will start and finish at Brentwood School.

Dear Business Stakeholder:

Our Special Education Department is seeking to allow our students to participate in extracurricular activities.  Our students enjoy being out in the community and the social interactions that occur with these trips are irreplaceable.   As you well know, there are always costs involved for our students.  In order to prevent asking parents for money, we are reaching out to our business stakeholders.

Your donation will help defray the costs of items for our special education students such as:

Special Olympics uniforms
Special Olympics lunches and snacks
Transportation to and from Special Olympics events
Classroom field trips
Classroom incentives

If you are able, we’d love it if you could make a donation to help our students.  Thank you in advance for your contribution.   Please make checks payable to Washington County Board of Education Special Programs Department

Sincerely,
