Chamber Events

Eggs & Issues is the Georgia Chamber’s premiere signature event where over 2,000 Georgians convene in Atlanta to formally kick-off the state’s legislative session. From local and federal elected officials, to C-level executives, this exclusive event features some of Georgia’s most influential leaders.

While networking and enjoying breakfast, attendees have the opportunity to hear from prominent speakers on the future of our great state and to also hear from President & CEO, Chris Clark, on the Chamber’s next big focus and legislative priorities for the year ahead. Special guest speakers from over the past few years have included Governor Nathan Deal, Governor Brian Kemp, Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan, Speaker of the House David Ralston, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, members of Georgia’s Congressional Delegation, and more.

This longstanding event serves as a key mechanism for furthering regional progress and collaboration.

Washington County Pre-K & Kindergarten Classes Attend
OFTC’s Mrs. Claus Reads

More than 300 Pre-K and Kindergarten students from Brentwood and Ridge Road Primary School visited with Mrs. Claus during the first-ever Mrs. Claus Reads event at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) in Sandersville, Monday and Tuesday, December 2 and 3.

Smiles filled the children’s faces as they entered to see the hallways of OFTC’s Ben J. Tarbutton Jr. Business Development Center lined with Christmas trees and Mrs. Claus surrounded by Christmas books.

Mrs. Claus read several Christmas stories and even led the children in a round of Christmas carols.

Before dismissing, each student received a candy cane made especially by Mrs. Claus and her elves and a book to take home donated by the Guild, Sandersville Rotary Club, Washington County LIFE Board, and the UGA Extension office of Washington County.

For more information about OFTC, visit the College’s website, OFTC.edu; for more info on the Mrs. Claus Reads event, contact Tanya Jolly at tjolly@oftc.edu or 478-553-2111.
