Please join us in our next "Before Hours" event at Planet Fitness in Cayce on August 14th. This member event will be held from 7:30 AM - 8:20 AM. A Planet Fitness trainer will lead Chamber Members through a 30-minute circuit training session. Showers and locker rooms will be available to you during your visit. Coffee and bagels will be available after the workout. This will be a workout event from 7:30 AM - 8 AM. Planet Fitness is located at 833 State Street, Cayce SC 29033.

2018 August Ambassador of the Month
MacKenzie Long is the Marketing Director for Dynamic Health and Fitness. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken as an Art major with a focus in graphic design. She is fairly new to the chamber and serving her second month as an ambassador.
Her free time includes hunting, lifting weights, all things Star Wars, and spending time with her family.

As many of you know, I'm in the process of seeing as many Chamber Members in their businesses as possible. These visits are an important way for me to learn about your business and what the Chamber can do for you. These visits have ranged from sit down discussions with a Chamber Member about their industry, the type leads they need from the Chamber or a tour of the business. We can mold this meeting to fit your needs. I have set aside 45 minutes to an hour for each meeting but this can be adjusted either way as needed.

The Chamber Team would like to thank you for a great June and July. Our membership numbers are climbing and the event participation is growing also. We hope you will join us for our August events. Chamber Donation
This past month, the GCWC Chamber donated $2000 to the Springdale Police to purchase a computer. This computer will be shared by all shifts and will be used to run license plates and background information. This money was raised through private donations. The GCWC Chamber would like to thank Dream Makers of GFWCSC and Something Borrowed for their donations.

This event helps supports the 28,902 athletes in South Carolina. Athletes participate at no cost to them and events like this help raise funds to cover transportation, housing, meals and other program needs.
