Art Opening at The Garden Deli in West Columbia

On Friday, May 4th, The Garden Deli will be hosting an art opening featuring the works of Emilee Harper. She is a local artist that lives in Cayce, SC. Her work has been featured at Cafe Strudel, and this will be her first art show here at the Garden Deli. There will be a wine tasting, along with complimentary cheese and vegetable plates and homemade bruschetta. The full menu will be available, along with a variety of beer and wines.

Hop on Board with Railroad Safety

Trains and tracks are nothing new to guests visiting the Zoo. That’s why Riverbanks is once again partnering with Operation Lifesaver to raise awareness of railroad safety and help put the brakes on tragedies along the tracks. The Zoo will host the 3rd annual Hop on Board with Railroad Safety on Saturday, May 5. Operation Lifesaver will have informative booths setup throughout the park to educate families about rail safety—as part of the organization’s mission to end collisions, deaths and injuries at railroad crossings.

Love for a Cure Tennis Tournament

The 3rd Annual Love for a Cure Tennis Tournament for Fun and Charity will be held on May 5th at the Lexington County Tennis Complex at 425 Oak Drive in Lexington, SC. In memory of Jay Criscione. This tournament is hosted by the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission to benefit cancer patients in need through the Lexington Medical Center Foundation's Cancer Care Fund.

PRAY4KENNEDY Pancake Breakfast Benefit

Please come join us on May 5, 2012 at Applebee’s for a Pancake Breakfast. Sales will be donated to Kennedy and her family to assist in Kennedy’s defeat of cancer. On February 23rd, her 13th birthday, Kennedy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme. Kennedy is a 13 year old child with a smile that can light up the room. She is beautiful both inside and out. Kennedy is very family oriented and loves her family and friends. Anyone who knows her can't help but to love her. She is a blessing to all who know and love her.
