About Dueling Grandmas Shortbread
Grandma MacKenzie brought her shortbread recipe with her when she immigrated to America from the sea and wind-swept Isle of Lewis off the coast of Scotland. Four simple ingredients, but when they’re lovingly put together they create an extraordinary treat. Our family has been enjoying and sharing this shortbread for four generations.
When I got married my Mother in Law, Grandma McIntyre shared her recipe for millionaires shortbread. Wonderful shortbread, topped with scrumptious homemade caramel, then swathed in a layer of decadent chocolate, an unbelievably fantastic treat. However, I knew to make Grandma McIntyre’s recipe better the shortbread had to be Grandma MacKenzie’s recipe, and Dueling Grandmas was born.
Every one of our shortbreads is made by hand in small batches, with pride and love. We love what we do, and we hope you enjoy these cookies as much as we do.
