Attention Chamber members,

We would like to know your business’s anniversary month so we can recognize your company’s success. This can be done in several different ways. With very little effort on your end, we can organize a special visit from our Ambassadors Committee to celebrate your year in business. These events will be posted on our Facebook page and website. We also invite the local press to cover all Chamber ribbon cuttings and special member events.

In addition, I want to alert you to a special afterhour’s event coming up on Thursday, September 18^th at Acapulco Restaurant in Maplewood from 4:00-5:00pm. We plan to invite the purchasing agents from several of our larger employers to meet with interested Chamber members. This is a great opportunity to establish a relationship with our larger employers.

David Olson passed away last week after an 18-month long battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at the age of 57. David led the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce for over two decades and was known for his good-faith negotiations, problem solving, and humor.

David was an excellent leader and advocate on behalf of members and chambers throughout the state. He will be sadly missed.

The Chamber's website - www.whitebearchamber.com - is coming into its own with its still new-ish features:

• Job Board is now available for your use to post any job openings at your business.
  • We have jobs posted! Keep them coming and tell those that may be interested.
     
• Member-to-Member Discounts are now live under the "Member Services" tab.
  • We have member-exclusive discounts posted! Take a look and see if one of these deals is right for you.

Jon Hatcher, Manager @ Oneka Ridge, is generously supporting us by giving discounted rates for any member of this group: $15/Walk or $22 to ride for 9 holes. If you wish to take on 18 holes he is also discounting those rates for $20/walk or $30 to ride!  

The goal is that every month, you are teeing up with different business chamber members. In past years we have included a “topic of discussion” each week. Looking for input if we want to incorporate it this year again.
