September 9th
Monthly Membership Meeting
"Entitlement Dilemma" Featuring Skip Humphrey & Tim Penny
White Bear Country Inn
Recently, the United States Chamber of Commerce President stated that promised entitlements in the form of Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid are unsustainable. His concern is that these programs could become an enormous drag on economic growth unless reformed.
Join us for a lively discussion on this very issue at our September membership meeting with
Skip Humphrey and
Tim Penny. Skip Humphrey was the Minnesota Attorney General for a number of years, recently served as President of AARP and was a senior advisor to President Obama on the newly formed Consumer Protection Agency. Tim Penny is a well know "deficit hawk", former 7-term Congressman, and a Senior Fellow at the University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute.
Cost to attend is $25.00 for Chamber members. Registration begins at 11:30 am followed by the program and lunch from noon to 1:15 pm. RSVP
online.
