Lawsuit Settlement Over
White Bear Lake Water Level Discussion
Friday, December 19
3:30 - 4:30p
Garnet Lodge 4923 Stewart Ave
One of the most compelling issues facing White Bear Lake and surrounding communities is the declining lake level and its relationship to the aquifer underlying the lake. One solution gaining traction is the concept of having the communities close to White Bear Lake change over to surface water instead of tapping into the aquifer. Cost estimates of changing over to surface water for the communities of White Bear Lake, White Bear Township, Mahtomedi and Vadnais Heights are around $220 million. This is one of the solutions raised in the lawsuit settlement.
On the afternoon of December 19th, Mike Ciresi and his associates will answer questions and review the major aspects of the lawsuit settlement at a special Chamber meeting. It was Mike Ciresi’s law firm that took on the case to sue the DNR over the decline of the water level on White Bear Lake.
