White Bear Area Inaugural / Annual Meeting White Bear Area Inaugural – A tale of perseverance and overcoming obstacles: “Escape From Camp 14” Blaine Harden, an American author and journalist, will address the White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Inaugural. His 2012 book, Escape From Camp 14, is an international bestseller translated into 27 languages. It is the story of Shin Dong-hyuk, the only person born in a North Korean prison camp to escape to the West. We are pleased to present Blaine Harden as our Inaugural speaker for 2015. The event will take place at the White Bear Country Inn & Suites on Thursday, January 29^th. Cost to attend is $28.00 Chamber members and $40.00 not-yet members. Registration will begin at 11:30am, with the Inaugural scheduled from 12:00-1:45pm. More information will be available about the event shortly. To RSVP, e-mail or by clicking here. Mr. Harden will conduct a book signing after the Inaugural. Tomorrow's Breakfast. If your New Year's Resolution isn't "I should network more" then you're probably a normal person. But if it just so happens to be, this upcoming breakfast would be a great start. That's right! Tomorrow Tuesday, January 6, Twenty-fifteen, we have our PerkUp! Morning Networking at Keys starting at 7:30am. Visualize it now: pancakes the "size of manhole covers", eggs the size of 1/12th a carton, and bacon the size of bacon. All of this can be yours for your first meal on the first Tuesday of the new year. (Again, tomorrow.) Volunteer at Feed My Starving Children We have a very nice opportunity to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids on Friday, February 20. We have three shifts, each of which can have 30 people helping out together. This would be a great start to your weekend and provide a nice boost to your overall karma.
