3rd Annual Business Wise Expo

Please join us for the third annual Business Wise Expo at Maplewood Community Center on the evening of January 26 from 5:00-7:30pm.

Not only is this event FREE to attend, it offers enhanced networking and a unique opportunity to save money through Recycling & Energy Efficiency and takes on an added necessity due to the new state mandates in reducing organic solid waste.

This “After Hours” event will provide information from various businesses that have dramatically reduced their waste stream and literally saved thousands of dollars. You can also learn the details of the “No Hassle” funds available through the Resource Recovery Project to assist businesses in their recycling efforts, helping the environment while saving money.

Businesses that sign up for a FREE, non-governmental waste reduction consultation conducted by the Minnesota Waste Wise Foundation will get an exclusive listing in either the White Bear Press or White Bear Lake Magazine as a “business working to sustain our environment.”

Free appetizers and cash bar will be offered.
RSVP attendance to (651) 429-8593 or info@whitebearchamber.com or by registering online.

A notice for Election Judges

We received an email last week for a request to help find Election Judges for next year's primary and general election. The info is as follows.

New election judges for the 2016 Presidential Election from WBL local businesses. Below are the dates we need help with:

Primary 2016 – Tuesday, August, 9th
General Election 2016 – Tuesday, November 8th

They do get paid for being an election judge and their employers are required to give them the time off if they provide enough notice to them for time off.

Anyone interested to sign up can email Kim Miller of the City of White Bear Lake at kmiller@whitebearlake.org or call her directly 651-407-5300 with their name, address and telephone number

Thank you!
