Adopt-A-Highway Spring Clean-Up April 22nd!
Join us on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22 to beautify Highway 61. Since 1990 the White Bear Area Chamber has been an "Adopt A Highway"sponsor, cleaning up a 2 mile stretch of Highway 61 that runs through the downtown area of White Bear Lake.
We thought that Earth Day is a perfect day to show some love this beautiful area we live in!
We start the day at 9:00 am at the Chamber office with rolls & juice, watch a short safety video, get vests, gloves, trash pickers and bags, then hit the road.
After a great morning of friends and pickup, we'll all gather again for lunch before heading home.

HOW IT WORKS: THE LIFE OF A RECYCLED PIECE OF PAPER
For most businesses, recycling begins and ends after an item is placed into a recycling bin. It’s an easy system that doesn’t require a lot of work or thought – but what does happen to that piece of recycled paper? Why does it matter?
It matters for many reasons, the most obvious being environmental health. For each four-foot stack of recycled paper, one mature tree is saved from being harvested. In an office setting, that amount of paper can be recycled in just one day. Click here for more information.
