Manitou Days Volunteering

   
We have volunteer options galore for you as of late. Manitou Days - White Bear Lake's premier summertime showcase - is seeking great volunteers for the parade on June 16th. We have several different opportunities, at least one of which you will find is both exciting and fits in your wheelhouse of volunteering skills.
Signage Assembly
        11 - Noon - Staple line-up signage to wooden stakes; organize for distribution
Parade Staging
        Noon - 2:00pm - Set-up lineup signage
Line-Up Hosts
        3:30 - 6:30pm - Provide support to parade participants
Parade Marshals Walker/Rider
        5:30 - 8:30pm - Monitor the flow of parade for gaps - keeps spectators at a safe distance;Walk/Ride the parade at specified section.
Street Clean-Up

Biz Recycling - Did you Know?

 
Waste Wise helped the St. Paul Saints apply for a $10,000 grant from BizRecycling that paid for all of the facility’s back-of-house compost and recycling containers, as well as an initial supply of compostable bags. The Saints and Waste Wise began comprehensive trainings for all Saints’ permanent staff, game day staff, vendors, and volunteers.

Outcome: Saved Money, Gained efficiencies in business operations,Compliant with state law of recycling three types of materials, Green marketing!

The Saints took sustainability to the next level in building the new stadium. Opening day at CHS Field was a celebration of the Saints and sustainability. Coming soon...Look for a contest on our Facebook page for your chance to win TWO tickets to June 13th!
